Outlook 2007 update

Even though I do not seem to be experiencing any difficulties with my
Outlook 2007 on Vista home is it still recommended to install the update
"outlook2007-kb933493-fullfile-x86-glb.exe" as described in KB # KB933493 ?

My pst file is from an up grade of Outlook 2003 and is smaller than 1 gig.

I checked the files per the installation instructions, and the dates on mine
were both very old (kind of odd... for mspst32.dll it shows date created
11/27/2004 and date modified 8/6/2003). OUTLOOK.EXE shows up in folder
MSOCache with a date modified of 10/27/2006 and no date created. When I
check the properties, it only lists Open Containing Folder, Copy and Extract.
Huh?

When I downloaded and tried to run KB933493, I got a message saying it was
already installed on my system. How could that be?

I'm still having some Outlook performance problems, mainly the long delay
"Preparing to Send/Receive" and the annoying backward cursor jump while
composing long messages. I am on XP, not Vista, no BCM or other add-ins.

Any advice or comments? Thanks.

I am having the exact same issues as Marsha. LONG delay "Preparing to
Send/Receive" and ultimately it does send/receive fine, but can take up to a
minute or more. Very annoying. Never had this problem with 2003. I have a
fresh install of Office 2007 on a new computer with XP Pro.
