Fried motherboard

I recently fried the motherboard on my comp, and had to do
a fresh install of XP. My old programs and all are on the
HD still, but for some reason I cant get them. My old
files are in a backup folder that I cant seem to retrieve.
And to top it, can;t find "MS Backup" on the XP Home
edition disk even though it says its in there!!!! How can
I restore some of my old programs? FRUSTRATED ashell!

Hi Randy,

You need to:

a) Reinstall the programs under the new installation

b) Read this:
