Frequent Error problems

I was wondering if somebody could help me here, I'm
frequently getting this kind of error while playing games
or using other applications (In WinXP):

The exception in nonvalid floating point (0XC0000090)
occurred with the site 0X00536f3d

(the numbers are changing with the application I'm using)

(I translated form french so it could be
containing "incorrect english terms).

Is that a problem related to memory ?

Any help would be appreciated
