Hi

Over the last couple of weeks I have been inundated with loads of French
spam in my Inbox. This is probably because my BB provider (Orange) is owned
by a French company (I live in the UK). But what's really annoying is the
sheer amount that I am receiving. I have been trying to set up message rules
to keep it out of my inbox (looking for certain words or phrases in French
etc) but I'm starting to lose the battle against it.

Does anyone have an idea as to what else I can do? I don't want to change my
ISP as (for now) my speeds are pretty good and I don't pay a lot per month
for it any way.

TIA
Netty

Call your ISP and talk to them. They should help you with their filter software.
If I go to my webmail access for my ISP, there are options to block all languages except English.

Hi Netty, did you enable the Spam Filter on your account @
http://www.orange.co.uk/
Sign in>my settings.

I have not seen any spam from my two accounts with Orange (freeserve,
wanadoo), for several years now.

If you have already enabled that setting, then the best thing to do is to
check your online account daily, and mark the messages as spam, eventually
they will dry up.

HTH?

HTH?

I have enabled the spam filter via webmail, marked them as spam as well as
adapting the message rules when I get the new ones but none make a
difference at the mo. I hope it dies down soon cos when I get 2-3000 spam
messages each day - it's doing my head in!

Just to confirm that we are talking about marking the messages as spam, in
the same place?

I meant for you to mark them as spam on the Orange site, not in WM.
