French/English SpellCheck

I'm angry that Microsoft can get away with destroying my Outlook English
SpellCheck when trying their Trial Version of Office 2007. I haven't read
any way to restore the English without reinstalling something from the Office
2003 CD. As a novice, I'm not good at those things. Am I wrong or is there
a simple alternative?
Thanks, David

hello peter ,
we donot have spell check in ole in english after installing office 2007
because the off 2007 has spell check version of 5.7 that is not compatible
with outlook express
the best workaround is that if u have office 2003 CD u can install the
proffing tools from the office 2003

the way to do it is insert the cd and then go in to customize install and
make every thing not avaiable except the proffing tools and install it this
is the best way

Or as been noted elsewhere you can downloaded a free spell checker from
MajorGeeks via
http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=2952

if you can tolerate the difference in how they work (compared to the office
one), a 3rd party utility is better IMHO because it won't need validated
should you wish to install MS templates or utilities.

Since updating my system to Office 2007 I also am extremely disappointed in
Microsoft that they have not addressed and resolved this issue. Only having
the option of a French spell checker in Outlook Express is ridiculous.

No, you want a *free* spelling checker. So get a 3rd party dictionary
to use with OE. A Google search will find them for you.

But what if one has a new PC with Vista OS and there is no earlier version of
Office 03 on the PC? And if not, will downloading a free spell check from one
of the suggested companies, be safe? Will problems occur because they are not
Microsoft offical downloads? We are always warned about this as per spyware &
virus'.

OE2.1 Spell checker that can be downloaded at:
http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=2952 is absolute without
virus or spyware.

Yes, you can download a free checker if you don't own a copy of office to
grab the spell check engine from. Or just get the new live mail client - it
has spell checking.
