Outlook Express is Spell Checking in French

I have Microsoft Office 2007 Trial Version installed at this time. My
Outlook Express application is set to Spell Check every message, but all
words come up misspelled, and it is offering me corrections in French.
Microsoft Word 2007 is set to English (US). Any suggestions as to why this
is happening and how to fix it?

Settings in Outlook Express are separate from Word.

Note that this is an Microsoft Office Outlook forum.

Outlook Express is family of Internet Explorer and Outlook of the Office
family.
