Changing Spellcheck from French back to English (US)

I have recently upgraded from Word 2003 to Word 2007. When I started the
document everything was in English (US). Something happened and now I am
still able to type in English (US). However, spellcheck thinks that I want to
change my words in English (US) to French. Please help me get my spellcheck
to realize that I want to type in English (US).
