Freezing on Windows is starting windows setup

When I Start Windows 2000 Setup it Stops Responding
at "Windows is starting windows setup" there are no raid
cards, no sound cards, no network cards, here's what I
have Motherboard GMB-P58VPS, AMD K6-2 500 Mhz Cpu, Intel
Agp 740i Video Card, 128 Meg Sdram, 3.5 Gig Segate Hd &
2.1 Gig Hd, 40x cdrom drive, 16x cdrom burner,3.5" floppy
drive & At Case & Power supply.

Any suggestions ?

David, I'm having the same problem. I've done everything
to attempt to resolve the problem with no luck, I have a
Award Modular Bios v4.51pg. I've also moved all the cards
off the mother board. Running 500 mgs of Ram with a
pentium lll. I've even installed, and then removed the CD
in hopes of resolving any conflicts it may have.

I installed win98 and the system booted perfect, I then
attempted to install win2k as a clean install and get the
same freeze at the splash screen. If you find out the
