freezes when adding an attachment

In Office 2003, I'm starting to notice that my Outlook freezes when I'm
trying to add an attachment to my email. Does anyone have any suggestions on
how to fix the problem?
 
What method of attaching are you using?
At what exact point does it freeze for you?
