Freezes up

My computer slows to a standstill about 30 seconds after signing on. What could be the problem?
 
Go to control-panel,open ADM.,then open event viewer and chk
the system for what did happen at freeze.If you open the url for
any event/warning this opens help/support in xp,usually with an
answer.
 
Ok, every time there is a freeze, it says the causes are:

VSS

Volume Shadow Copy Service error: Unexpected error calling routine CoCreateInstance. hr = 0x80040206.

and

EventSystem (category 50)

The COM+ Event System detected a bad return code during its internal processing. HRESULT was 8007043C from line 44 of d:\nt_qxp\com\com1x\src\events\tier1\eventsystemobj.cpp. Please contact Microsoft Product Support Services to report this error.


PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!
