Freezes At Start Up

Well... Im kind of experienced with computers but as you know everyone makes
mistakes. The other day I was taking programs such as aim, yahoo messenger,
and msn off of my start up through msconfig I must have taken a critical
component off that is needed to run Windows XP Media Center Edition. I
determined this because as I disconnected everything except the needed
hardware to run. I tried starting up my computer and everytime I attempt a
boot up the computer freezes at the same spot while loading XP. Any help
would be appreiciated.

Well, did you tried Safe Mode or Last Good Known Configuration?.
If you can log into safe Mode and recheck these check boxes then you may be
able to Get things working again.
Otherwise try the recovery Console ( do you have IE7) if you have you can't
perform Repair/install with an XP CD contain an older version of the IE?
which IE6.
HTH.

Its unlikely anything in msconfig would have caused this, provided you only
used the startup tab.
Does it boot in Safe Mode?
