Freeze at Shutdown

When I go to shutdown my computer, it will get to the
point where it says "Windows XP is shuting down...", and
freeze after about 30 seconds. I have tried waiting it
out, but it won't budge after that. Any ideas?

Thanks for the site, but I can't find the update on
Windows Update. It's the "Restarting Windows XP" update.
