shutdown

when I try to shutdown windows XP it take to long it won't
shutdown and I end up shuting down manually... help need
fix

That is because you're loading up too many programs at
startup. Go to: Start/Run/type MSCONFIG and click OK
Now click the startup tab and uncheck everything except
your anti-virus program, if Norton, it will start with
NAV. Click Apply and OK. Now reboot your PC. Just close
the window stating that you have changed your startup.
Now you have a "lean, mean machine" and will boot faster
and shutdown faster. Disabling applications does NOT
delete them, only stops them from activating at startup.
All icons can activate any program.
