Hi Steven,

Thankyou for your kind offer. I don't know if I'm doing something
wrong but I'm unable to download the icons - I clicked on icons in the
entry page which took me to a page with 'download' on it (the one
which says "Over 5000 icons in the Ur I.T. Mate Group icon library.
Available both online, and as catagorized downloads.") but when I
clicked on 'download' I was taken back to the entry page! Hope you may
be able to put me right

John, at the bottom of the main page (www.it-mate.co.uk) is a simple
text menu, one of which has the heading on the left entitled "Free
Software".

If you look along the line with that title, you will see,

Beta, Freeware Library, Icons, OCX Files

Clicking on Icons will take you to the Icon pages.

Is there anywhere I can get a freeware collection of 'Flags of the
World' images/icons (and US state flags if possible!) that I can use
either on personal or commercial websites?

I can't say whether they're free to use commercially (or otherwise) but
you could try at http://www.wopr.com/cgi-bin/w3t/smilies.pl#flags.
Perhaps enquire at the site with an e-mail. The collection includes both
countries and US states.

Maybe also consider some snipping of the post content to which you're
replying; particularly when replying with just a one liner.
