FP2003 change default home page?

Noticed that when FP2003 publishes from web server to local host running
IIS, the index.html page is chaged to default.htm, even tho IIS default
document setting on local host is set to index.html.

Is this unique to FP 2003? -or did something get missed?
If it is unique, does it make any difference? -will the default home page
name be automatically changed back to index.html which the ISP web server
requires?

Check under IIS MMC for the web site properties, what is the first page
listed in the document list.

Index.html followed by index.htm
