FP still no images in design mode.

HI there I am still completely tearing my hair out with FP ( or something).
I have been having ongoing issues only in FP.
It will not display any images in the design mode at all.
I have deleted all FP web sites under construction off my computer.
I have completely deleted FP program off my computer & reinstalled, done
detect and repair several times.
I have tried to start from scratch a new web site, new page and the same
thing happens.
FP will not display any graphics in design mode.
Is it possible , Could I have a glitchy program from the start that is
missing something?
I am also contacting local techs to see if they can sort something out.
All my other graphic programs work perfectly including Dream Weaver!

Can any one help me solve this problem?
Thanks in advance
Marjorie

Make sure your images are either GIF or JPG (RGB subformat) format when you import them into your
current open FP web / site.

I am definately using Gif and jpeg images and RGB mode. I have definately
saved the images into the site folder.
I am using the same images in Dreamweaver and having no problems in that
program.
I am not using png images I convert them all to gif or jpeg.
This problem has only occurred since I have installed FP 2003 a few weeks
ago.
I have a tech coming tomorrow to see if he can figure out the problem with
me.
If we find the problem I will let the group know!
Thanks Marjorie.

Close FrontPage
Copy and paste this into Start > Run or the IE address bar and click Go or Ok as Appropriate:

%UserProfile%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\FrontPageTempDir

When the folder opens, delete any and all files / and folders it may contain.

then do the same for:

%UserProfile%\Application Data\Microsoft\Web Server Extensions\Cache

and then do the same for:

%UserProfile%\Application Data\Microsoft\FrontPage\State

Yep, I said delete *ALL* files and sub folders you find in any of those folders.
However the last two "should" only contain files.
Then restart FrontPage and it will create new files as it needs them.

Do NOT save the images directly into the site folder, save to your desktop, then import them into
the site using the File Menu | Import or drag-n-drop them into the site.

Thanks I will try those suggestions.
The technician came around today and he said it was all a bit wierd what was
happening. He thought that I may have corrupted files internally. He has
taken my discs to see if they run on his FP2003 if they do then I have
computer problems, if they don't then in short , I have done something!
Thanks everyone for your ongoing help.
