FP 2003 won't run after install

Installed FP 2003 from CD. Application reports it must close (standard crash message) immediately upon launch. Any ideas? Or places to look for solutions? MS support suggested removing GDIPLUS.DLL and repairing FP, but that did not help at all. Thanks in advance...
 
Have your Reinstalled FP and looked at the log to see if there were any installation errors
- see http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;826511&Product=off2003
(not the log file names will vary for FP installation, but the format /location should be the same)
