I downloaded my website from a remote location, When I try to open the
HTML pages (the open button is NOT grayed out) nothing happens.
Anyone know what's happened?

I tried to delete all the pages and start over again, the first time
it will open the main page but the rest of the pages won't open. This
is very frustrating, I can't even find help pages dealing with this
error.

Thanks, Renae

How did you "download" ??
Did you use File > Publish Web and publish the web from the remote server to your
machine??

Yes, that's exactly how I did it. Remote server to my machine, using FTP.
Thanks.

Unfortunately ftp does not download an entire site, and the navigation won't work.

Well, then, how is it done? I tried all the other options. Using the
wizard too and still can't open the files.
Thanks.

Does your remote server have FrontPage extensions, can you open it by trying to open
http://yourwebsitename.com
using FrontPage??
If so open it and Publish back to your machine that way.

You would need to have a local server and FP server extensions installed on
your pc, and use the http publish from your online web to your local web.

sidetrack question.

currently I have some webs in : c:\...mydocuments\mywebs (whatever the correct systax is), but I also have some older ones in c:\inetpub\wwwroot

should i move the ones in My Webs to the inetpub\wwwroot folder?
if so, should they be published over or can they be moved like a regular file?

I hardly ever use my local server, but I guess I should huh?
