FP 2003 Search Function

Been trying to get the FP search function to work on my sites. I've got FP
extensions installed and created the search page on the host server, but no
dice -- just showed "FrontPage Component" or "No Results", depending on the
site. I skimmed the advice here and asked my host to catalog the site and
they said my simple question about IIS and cataloging was a coding issue and
they don't help with those due to privacy concerns. Am I supposed to be able
to catalog my own site when it's on a host server?

I complained and got another response, which was that that particular FP
component only works on certain Legacy Servers at that particular [huge] host.

What next? Did I ask the the wrong questions?

You can not create the catalog on the remote server, and I don't see how this is a coding issue or a
privacy concern. Time move to another web host.
