Search Web component

I get a 'page not found' when try the search box on a site I've created.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the FP extensions.
I have called my host to set up the Index catalog or Index server but they
didn't have a clue what I was asking.
I have recalcualted the hyperlinks.

My question is, how do I set up an Index server? Is it a data base that I
set up in the host control panel? If so, how do I set it up? If I call my
host a 3rd time, to set up the Index Server, and they don't know what it is,
what do I tell them?

They need to set up the "indexing service" in IIS, or in the server
extensions admin.

Tell them you're going to look for a host that DOES know what you're talking
about!

You don't do anything on your PC
- Your host needs to set it up on the online Windows server Control Panel
(if they don't know how - time to find a new host)

After the 3rd call, the tech person found out that they have a new server
that he is moving all my sites over to, so that they will then set up the
index server.

Thank you for your help.
The host was only minutes away from losing a large account, but thankfully,
I HOPE, they are resolving the issue.
Thanks again.

Make sure the host use FP to publish the site over.
