Dear Helper :

Article 205729.

PUBLISH A WEB FROM A REMOTE SERVER TO YOUR LOCAL COMPUTER

October 29, 2003 [Revised]

Connect to the Internet.

Start FrontPage. and a copy of my Local website displays as D:\ Wincopy 37
folder.

On the [File] menu, click[ Open Web.]

In the Folder Name box, type the server name or IP address of the remote
site,

Type the following IP Address: [http://latinmass.bravepages.com]

and then click [Open. ] Wait.. The remote web site will display. as
[http://latinmass.bravepages.com]

On the[ File] menu, click [Publish Web. ]

In the Publish Web dialogue box, type the location to which you are
publishing

:type [D:\ Wincopy37].., or "Browse" to the location. [ file://D:/wincopy
37 ]

[Publish Changed Pages Only][Publish]

Error message half way through the download:

"An error occurred accessing your FrontPage Files. AUTHORS: -if authoring
against a web server , please contact the Webmaster for this server's site.
WEBMASTER: please see the server's system log for more details. [OK]"

Repeated the [Publish] command from my remote web site directly to a new
empty local computer location [ e.g. wincopy 36 ]

Message : " Front page needs to convert this folder into a New Web by adding
the files and folders to support Front Page Features . Convert? YES.

Progress menu displays : "Publishing ALL Files" and all was going well, then
a message" The server unexpectedly closed the connection . [OK]

NOTE : The approximate size of the Remote web site is over 30 Mb.

In viewing the published results ; all the Navigational Structure link
buttons are missing , in the side panels and the horizontal panels ,
everything else is A-OK. including "Themes" ..

Please Help.

Thank You
