forward an appointment problem

When I forward an appointment from Outlook 2003, the recipient receives the
appointment as a message rather than a calendar item. If I forward that same
appointment to myself and receive it on another computer, the appointment is
correctly received as an appointment.

Do you have any thoughts on why anappointment will forward correctly in some
cases but not in others? How can I make the appointment forward correctly?
Thanks.

It is Outlook version dependent, and you did not include the Outlook
versions involved.

Force Rich Text Format to ensure it will work, and uncheck the reminder if
sending to an Outlook 2000 user.
