Forte Agent can't find file when in limited Pro SP2 account

The program does not use the registry. When I run it in administrator
account type it works. If I change the account type to limited, a
message "Unable to find INI file" appears and the program does not
start. I had no such problem when running on XP Pro SP1.

This is a news reader; I don't want to connect to the internet with an
administrator account. Any suggestions?

INI files are usually stored in common folders like C:\Windows or
C:\Windows\System32. Limited users may not have access to these folders.

Find the name and location of the .ini file and grant the Users group
full control of it.

Agent looks for the "agent.ini" file in the current directory. This is
either the directory where the executable resides, or the "Start in"
directory specified in the shortcut that started the program. If it
can't find agent.ini it will create a new one. I'd guess that the
limited account doesn't have access - or maybe doesn't have write
access - to the agent.ini file.

I learned a lot about XP security. Problem fixed, thank you.

If you are using an NTFS file system, from an Admin logon. first make
sure that Folder Options View has 'Use Simple File Sharing' unchecked
then right click the Agent folder, Properties - Security and make sure
your Limited account has full control access

Agent stores it in its own folder
