stopped working, works for one cell; once, then answer
remains the same regardless of dragging to 2 or more
cells.
Tried to install XP2 the other day which failed.
Used Restore to try to by-pass problem. It restored but
the problem in Excel remains

Wow! SP2 and System Restore upgrade and repair your Operating System, not
Excel, which is part of the Office Suite!
In Excel, try going to Tools-Options-Calculation and check that it has not
been set to manual by mistake.
