Formula solution????

Thanks, for all the relies. You guy's gave me a little peace of mind.

The question was presented to me as a recent pre- employment test.
informed the employer of the problem with the solution and they insis
it is correct. I presented the question to you the exact way it wa
present to me. I myself gave an answer of 8 based on the correctio
excel automaticly gave as an option.

Who knows
 
Maybe, they should realize that there was a typo in the problem that wa
given to you. If they insist that they are correct, they do no
understand what they are talking about or they are just stubborn (w/
is very mild word) to admit that there was an error.
