Firstly if I'm in the wrong thread I apologise.
I am trying to create a work fantasy league xls, using data drawn from a website.
Each member is given a team from each of the 4 divisions, and the teams are scored based on position in the league. eg If you had the 4 teams that were top of each league then your points would be 4 (eg position 1 in each league), and that's the lowest score possible - likewise if your teams were 10th in each league score would be 40.
I'm trying to match the team names with cell numbers etc, but cannot seem to get it right using match or vlookup formulas - is there a formula that would work best.
I have league data in one worksheet and the players names and teams chosen on another.
Any advice would be greatly accepted and I would be eternally grateful
