formatting

i was told that i should format my hard drive from time to time and i had my
pc for a year now and i think it is probably time to do so......can somone
tell me in easy steps on how to format my pc i have a 80 gb hard drive i have
10 1.4 mb2hd formatted diskettes please help much thanks............. Darryl
 
With Windows XP there is no reason to format your hard disc from time to time.

No need to format but you should run chkdsk and do a defrag once a month,
Open help&support...type in both words one at a time and it will explain the
procedure
