formatting my dell inspiron/1100

I tryed to formatt my puter the other day, all it done was reinstalled
windows xp, well the was fine, but how do i know if it put all the required
drivers back on, I got a CD that has drivers on it, and on it it has a lot
of things on it with check marks nex to them, does that mean they r already
on here?

It sounds like you used the Recovery CD that Dell supplies, which should have
done a complete job.
To check the drivers issue, go to Control Panel/System/Device Manager. Any
devices with yellow marks will need to have the drivers installed. This is
not particularly intuitive wih the Dell driver CD (Been there, done that), so
follow the directions carefully.
