Formatting Marks

I like to have all formatting marks and the text boundary displayed while
writing in Word, but for some reason, after I turn off my computer, Word
drops the formatting marks and the text boundary. As a result, I must
re-select these items when I enter Word again. Previously, Word kept my
selections, but for some reason, it's now dropping these two selections. Any
ideas as to what the problem and solution are? Thanks.

As Carol has indicated, failure to save settings is often an indication of a
corrupted Registry key. But it can also result from the "meddling" of
add-ins. If you have any add-ins that load when you start Word, you might
try temporarily moving them out of Word's Startup folder to see if this
solves the problem. If so, then you need to take this up with the author of
the add-in.
