Formatting Issue

Hello I just need some input plz. I had some issues with my childrens comp
that was not hooked up to the net that I could not resolve so I decided to
format my drive. However during regular format it froze at 79% I then decided
to do a quick format which was successful. I then tried regular again and
same thing. I was just wondering what would cause this? Bad HD? What can I do
to resolve this?

I'd download and run the manufacturer's diagnostic tools.
