Formatting drive D partition after setting up XP on drive C

B

Bobby

I recently installed a new HD and partitioned into drive logical drives (C
and D).

I formatted drive C and installed XP (SP2) onto it. I want to use D for my
data.

But XP setup did not allow me to format D. It simply installed XP onto C as
soon as If formatted it.

How do I format D once Windows is up and running on C?

Cheers.

Double click on My Computer. Right click on the D drive. Choose "Format..."

Use the disk management tool. Right click My Computer | Manage |
Storage | Disk Management. Right click on the partition you want and
choose Format.
