Formatting CDs in XP

I'm unable to find a way to format a CD. It used to be on the pop-up menus,
now it's gone.

You can format a CD-RW (packet writing) using Roxio or Nero.
Do not recommend formatting a CD-R, they are primarily used
for music or picture files.

If you mean "erase" that option only appears when you insert a CD-R/W (not
CD-R) disc into your drive.

CD's don't need formatting unless your using an application like DirectCD or
InCD. If you just using them to backup data or make music or video cd's
just use them.

Thank you! I had Direct CD on my other computer, that's why I was confused.
