Formatting bullets using a 'style'

Guest

Hi

I have used 'List Bullet' thru to 'List Bullet 4' to format my bulleted text (with a dot for the bullets) and 'List Number' to format my numbered text. (1, 2, 3 etc)

But I can't find a style to use to format lines numbered by an alpha code (a), b), c) etc.,) or for text numbered using Roman numerals.

Please help. I don't want to keep modifying list bullet each time.

Thanks

There are five List Number styles (List Number and List Number 2
through List Number 5). Unless you are already using all of these for
some other kind of numbering formatting, you can use two of them for
letters and roman numerals, respectively.

In addition, you have the option to create your own styles, of course.

"Numbering" is a misnomer. You can create an Outline Numbered list using any
combination of roman/arabic numerals, letters, bullets (including picture
bullets), etc., linked to any styles you like. To set up outline numbering
so that it will work correctly, carefully follow the directions in
http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/numbering/OutlineNumbering.html
