what is the purpose of FORMAT??? is it erase whole data from hard-disk if i
run it on hard-disk?? actually, i have recovered whole data which was
formatted earliar.
is there any method to erase whole data from hard-disk so that it may not be
recovered forever???????

It erases the drive, and is recoverable.
