Format of incoming mail

It seems there is new fashion for email format.
Everyone is putting fancy pictures, logos etc.
This eats the disk space. In some cases such emails are shown as having
attachements and with large number of emails it's hard to find ones
with real attachement. I need to keep every mail for up to 4 years.

Any idea how to force INCOMING (not outcoming) email format to TEXT?

Thanks

MH

You don't mention what version of Microsoft Outlook you are running, but
there is a ReadAsPlain registry entry for the later versions of Outlook that
would force reading every e-mail to plain text.

Thank you.

It's 2000 but I will take my AK47 and go in a second to see our Help
Desk. They will have no choice but to upgrade me to 2003.

OK, I got it.
I knew my AK47 will come handy one day.
But...
As ReadAsText indicates it's for reading only. It still stores bitmaps
and other embeded crap on the disk and shows them as attachments.

I would like to strip incoming mail from embeded pictures.

3rd party add-ins are about your only solution in regards to stripping
content and such.
