Hi all , is their any one that can help me out with formating my hard drive in XP, i try to install xp and delete the partition C: but it wont allow me as it says that it cant delete it because xp has put some setup file on the same drive.
Is there anyway for me to get around this.
I thank you in advance and hope to hear from some one soon.

Regards

If you are trying to format and delete the parititon in XP then this will not work because its currently in use. To do this you need to boot from your XP disk and format and delete the paritition. (This will remove all data on the hard drive)

Hi wizkid, thankx for for your quick reply, sorry i didnt make my self clear enough, but i am booting up from the xp cd and haven that problem.
