Format for Hyperlinks?

I use MS Outlook 2003 SP-1.

When I receive mail in plain text format, with hyperlinks embedded,
the hyperlinks are active, (they're colored, I can click on them and
they take me to a web site, or another e-mail address).

When I forward the message, the hyperlink becomes inactive.

I can't seem to figure out what's happening, or how to forward an
e-mail and keep the hyperlink active. I think it has to do with the
format, am not sure.

Outlook is just being nice to you and creating a link using the string in
the message that *appears* to be a hyperlink. There is no actual hyperlink
embedded in the message. Apparently, whatever client your recipient is
using is not so accommodating.
