Form Loading Time

Hello All,

Hope this is the right forum for this question. I made a macro enabled
template in word 2007, after overcoming all the obstacles of the protection
etc i have the sheet the way i need it etc. The template has 2 date picker
options about 50-75 check boxes and 15 or so drop down menus each with 2 or 3
choices.

When I goto open the document either by clicking the icon in my documents or
desktop or by opening word and the choose open it takes at least 30-45
seconds to open and looks like word stops responding but then kicks in and
finally loads.

Is there a way to make this load faster or is it just because of all the
checkboxes and drop downs etc ?

With that type of form, probably just the processing required to load the
drop downs.

I suspect that you might be better off with a userform
