Form Font Changes

I have created a form in Word 2007. The font for the document is 10pts.
When I bring up the form each time to fill in the blanks, it sets the font at
12pts. I have the document protected so no changes can be made when others
are using the form. Why does it keep filling the blanks in on the form in a
different size font and how do I fix it?

most probably because you set the 10pt font size as direct formatting
instead of changing the base style (usually "Normal").
