Documents created in Word 2003 change in Word 2007

I have several documents that were created in Word 2003 as form fill
documents but when you try to use them in 2007 the fonts used in 2003 are not
in 2007 so it changes the entire document spacing. How can this be fixed so
the documents stay the same? I've tried to recreate the documents in 2007 but
as before the fonts are not the same in 2007 as they are in 2003 and the
document changes the fonts and the spacing.

Word doesn't have fonts. They are installed in Windows and are available if
the current active printer is capable of printing them. If the fonts used in
the original document are not available then the Word version is irrelevant.
You cannot reproduce what you don't have. Use fonts that are available on
both platforms or install the missing fonts on the PC with Word 2007.

Well then I do not understand as both machines are Vista as the O/S with one
having Office 2003 and the other Office 2007. By what you have posted both
machines would have the same fonts but the only thing different is one is
Office 2003 and the other is Office 2007 and the fonts are different. They
are both on the same network using the same printer. I can print the document
with 2003 version but if I open the same document with 2007 the fonts change
and the document has changed. Sorry but I don't see how Vista would have
different fonts on two machines when the O/S is factory installed.

It does not necessarily follow that the two machines will have the same
fonts. Additional fonts are packaged with a variety of applications -
including both office versions. The fonts when installed are available to
all applications capable of using them as they are installed in Windows.

What are the fonts that differ between the two? Are those fonts installed on
both PCs?
