Did you personally set an admin password? XP Home edition doesn't, by
default, ask for a admin password to be set. So if you haven't set a
password your self simply try pressing the Enter key on your keyboard when
asked for a password.
There are third party programs hat can reset a password under XP. Try a web
search for "password reset".
However, it might be more efficient to look into Bart's PE builder. This is
a program/process that makes a bootable CD that contains elements of XP and
some other programs. it can act like te recovery console, but does not
waste time with the protections built ino XP (like passwords). It can also
copy to/from external media and access all files on the PC. Of course, you
will need a PC with a workign version of XP to make this CD.
