Admin password

I am running XP Pro which I had recently upgraded from XP
Home edition; I have admin rights to the PC, but the
system does not recognized my admin password, and it
terminates after 3 tries when I boot the system from the
CD, and choose "Repair" option.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
