PASSWORD???

My own xp windows CD I inserted to do a repair and it asks
for admin. password??? I press enter and it ask for
password again. I NEVER ENTERED ANY PASSWORD!

How do I do get around this so I can do a simple repair???
I remember win98 never did this!
