Forgets Auto-Suggest Addresses

Whenever I close Outlook 2007 it forgets all of the email addresses it had
learned to complete automatically when I'd type the first letter or two. I
have to start all over typing each address in full or pulling it from the
address book. It certainly discourages excessive emailing.

I raised this question once before in this or some other Microsoft forum. A
"MSV" person--I assume a Microsoft agent--said search for .NK2 files and
simply fix the profile. I've searched for those files every way I know how,
and there are no such files. I did the same search on my wife's computer,
which has Office 2003, and couldn't find any such files--but she uses Outlook
Express for email. (So did I until I installed Office 2007 recently, when I
switched to Outlook, and I've had this problem ever since.

My OS is XP Pro. I have one gig of memory and 112 gigs free space on my
hard drive. The box telling Outlook to auto-complete addresses is checked.

I am a moderately experienced user, and I can follow directions if they
don't make too many assumptions that I know what I'm doing.

I'll appreciate any help.

Thanks.

Hi,
It might be a GPO configuration for this issue.. check with your SYS admin.

Well, that's part of the problem. I AM the SYS admin. And the owner, and
the user, and the person who sweeps the floor. If "GPO" refers, as Google
says it does, to some group configuration, it might well be the problem,
because as far as any effort I undertook or understood, there are no group
configurations on this system. I am on a local area network with my wife's
computer, but we share very little, and don't share Office at all.

Thanks anyway, but as you can see, the SYS admin has no idea what the
problem is.
