Forcing windows to use Wireless over wired

K

I have a linksys router that both my laptop and desktop are connected
to on a wired connection, the linksys router is not connected to the
internet, and I would like to use it just as a hub so i can transfer
files back and forth between the two computers.

The problem is that whenever i have the wired connection plugged into
the laptop it can no longer access the internet through the wireless
router in the next room.

It's as if once the wired connection is pulgged into the laptop it
tries to connect to the internet through that connection and ignores
the wi-fi connection.

I have a feeling this has something to so with subnets and sutch but
beyond that...

anybody have any suggestions?

no suggestion. an actual answer.

your wired router's dhcp is messing you up by giving you ANOTHER
Default Gateway. U want to have only ONE DG, DG is your door to the
Internet. I think u know how to take it from here.
