My pc keeps crashing over and over, online mostly, I keep getting the error
message
"windows has recovered from a serious error"

and here are the two files that it says will be sent to microsoft with a
report.
C/docum1/myname1/locals1/temp WER 1053.diroo/mini11005-06.dmp
C/docum1/myname1/locals1/temp WER 1053.diroo/sysdata.xml

I have cleaned my pc "litterally by opening it up and checking fans and the
dust"
I have run anti virus and spybot and adaware until I am blue in the face.
I have dumpe every freaking temp and temp int file I can find and rebooted
to death as well and NOTHING WORKS.

I am on XP this pc is only 2 years old running IE 6.0 this crap all started
after I downloaded spybot, could that be the problem?? my audio icon keeps
"rapid firing" like a machine gun in my tasbar as well, can this be related??
that has been going on for months.

I know one of you smart tech guys knows how to fix it. whoever gives me the
right advice will get a christmas card from me ;0)~

I don't think it's easy to diagnose such a problem without access to
the computer, and even then...

Unless you have reason not to do so, why not try System Restore, to
revert your system to a date that you know the problem did not exist?
This may be the easiest way to get back into working state. Then you
can re-install whatever you need and see if the problem recurs.

Hi

What size is the .DMP file - 64K? If it is reasonably small, could you
please email me a copy of it? Please don't post it to the News Group.

"bxf"s suggestion of trying system restore is good.

You could also try running the system file checker:
start > run
cmd [return]
C:> sfc /scannow
you can get more details at http://www.updatexp.com/scannow-sfc.html (just
the first page I came across when googling).

Do you have any errors or warnings logged in your system (or application)
event logs? Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer.
Look for any errors - there may be some which are perfectly innocent, but as
a rule I wouldn't expect to see any errors logged. It would be worth
skimming through any warnings, but you'll often see warnings and mostly they
can be ignored. Post back anything that looks relevant.

You could also try reinstalling xp. If you have the original cd (and it is
NOT a restore cd - do not try this with a restore cd), then if you boot from
the cd and let it "upgrade" your installation. So long as you don't tell it
to format your disk then it should reinstall all the key system files whilst
preserving your applications and other settings. I've known it to help with
some problems (and totally fail to help with others), but it shouldn't make
things worse. Try this as a last resort.

Hope this helps.

Had a friend that did close to what your getting.
If you have a Marvell Yukon Gigabit network card and updated the
driver it was known to cause problems, do a google on
Marvell Yukon lockup crash or Marvell Yukon lockup

You did get a lot of answers, I hope they are of some use. I have just a
suggestion to make. If you ever send a post again, try to put in the
subjectline a brief but sharp description of your problem. First of all the
"peers" that are walking through these newsgroups get good information to
begin with. Secondly, all other readers (now and in the future), are able to
recognize the problem they are self dealing with. Good luck with the solving
of your problem.
