Font won't change in Outlook 2007

Hi,

I'm trying to change the default Segoe UI font in Outlook back to Tahoma.
The font for unread message is already defined as Tahoma (Customize current
view --> Automatic formatting) 8 pt. but it's actually Segoe UI 8 pt.
It's not my imagination, as I changed the font back and forth from Tahoma to
Segoe UI but it looks the same.

For read messages (Customize current view --> Other Settings --> Row Font)
it clearly changes if a switch between Segoe UI and Tahoma.
Any ideas?
(I've installed SP1, and I'm using Vista)

Thanks,
Roee.

Same here. Just upgraded to 2007. For some reason I like Tahoma font better
than Segoe UI, but I am having exactly the same problem with the automatic
formatting (using it to color overdue tasks). Choosing anything other than
Tahoma works fine, but using Tahoma results in Segoe.

PS. My googling skills are not the best, but I would have expected to find
more hits when researching this problem than this 3 month old post....

Hi,

I've encountered the same problem and turning Cleartype on and off partially
helped but there was considerable blur left, especially in Outlook.

The solution to this is to go in the start menu, control panel, font. Locate
the Segoe font (four of them in total), copy them somewhere safe. Then
proceed to delete the Segoe font from the control panel. Outlook then opens
up with another default font (can't remember which). Outlook 2007 ends up
looking just like Outlook 2003.

Only drawback is that you need to be admin to perform this...
