Font Smoothing

B

Bert Hibberd

In Windows XP Home, I have ClearType turned on and fine tuned using
the Microsoft web site but I still have jagged edges on the larger
fonts used in web pages and other programs.

I have a Sony Multiscan G420 monitor and a GeForce M440 graphics card.
Monitor is set at 100 Hertz.

Any suggestions as to how I might improve the 'Smooth Font' effect?

Try opening display, set at high-resolution instead of
true-colors.In system properties,advanced,set at let
windows adjust,or if at,set other than performance,in
letting windows adjust, chk all the boxes, youll find one
for smooth edges.Clear-Type is pretty good stuff..

Thanks Andrew!

Couldn't quite follow all of your advice, but it has given me
somethings to try.
