I had to do a reformat/reinstall of WinXP. The list of
available fonts has now changed. I've lost some fonts that
I really liked (Dom Casual, for one). Is there anyway to
get those fonts back out of the XP disc?

yes, either from the XP CD or from your application CDs.
There is a Font app on the control panel and it has a font
installer on the file menu.

Speaking of fonts, is there limit to the number of fonts one can have in XP?
Thanks

No, but you must have the minimum Windows fonts. Fonts
installed will be registered when you boot and too many
fonts will slow the boot process a little.

nothing explicit. If you over do it, and use things like Word with the
format selector displaying each font name in that font, it can become
rather an overhead loading them all up for the purpose. But you would
have to be up in the thousands to really notice
