Font oddity

With the installation of a new video adaptor, input to a widescreen LCD
monitor has changed from analog to DVI (digital).
Now the fonts in certain programs - Quicken's button bar, for one - look
thin and washed out. They looked fine with analog input to the monitor,
using the same theme. Apparently these fonts are picked up from XP, as
settings within the programs do not affect them.

Tested, to no effect...
Larger fonts - DISPLAY|APPEARANCE|FONT SIZE
DPI settings - DISPLAY|SETTINGS|ADVANCED

And under DISPLAY|APPEARANCE|ADVANCED...
Different fonts
BOLD for _all_ listed fonts

Thoughts?

Thanks. Should have mentioned that ClearType is up and running, as it was
with the analog card, and it's always made a positive difference.
Yet the situation described above still exists.

If you download the tool, there is a bar to move from heavy ClearType to
light ClearType. Is that the tool you used or did you just enable ClearType?

If you are referring to the Contrast setting slider, then yes: It is at the
far left (darkest) setting.
